250g butter 100g icing sugar pinch of salt 1 pack vanilla sugar 200g corn starch 130g flour |

Cream the butter, icing sugar, salt and vanilla sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved. Sift in both the corn starch and flour and knead until you have a smooth dough. Form 2 cm thick rolls and let them chill in the fridge for two hours. Slice the rolls 1 cm thick in pieces and press them with a fork so that you get a snowflake pattern. Place them on a lined baking tray. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 10-15 min. The cookies should not be too dark. Thanks to Anna Koldewey for contributing this recipe. |
