500 g honey
300 g sugar
15 g salts of hartshorn
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg, coriander, ginger powder, allspice and cardamom
or 2 packs gingerbread spice
a tsp. of white ground pepper
100g. icing sugar

Heat the honey gently in a pot an stir until the honey is fluid. Mix the sugar, eggs (careful if the honey is to hot they will coagulate),add salt of hartshorn and all spices to the honey and stir. Stir the sieved flour first bit by bit, then knead until you have smooth dough. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Make little balls about 2cm in diameter and place them on the lined baking tray with enough space between them. Bake the spice drops for about 15 - 20 min. until they have a golden brown colour. Let them cool on a cooling rack.
Mix the icing sugar with a little water in a pot and let it boil shortly. Glaze the spice drops with the icing.
