Nougat Cookies


Ingredients: Knead dough Nougat Cookies

  250g flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
75g sugar
1 pack vanilla sugar
150g ground hazelnuts
200g softened butter
1 egg
200g nougat

Mix flour with the baking soda, sugar, vanilla sugar and hazelnuts. Knead the butter and the egg into the dry mixture until you have smooth dough. Wrap in cellophane and let chill for an hour in the fridge.

Roll out the dough 3 mm thick on a floured surface. Slice in squares or use cookie cutters to cut the dough. Place the cookies on a lined baking tray and preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake for 15 min. and let the cookies cool on a cooling rack.

Melt the nougat in a double boiler and stick two cookies together with a little of the melted nougat.
