Ingredients: Makronen Makronen crescents

  250g ground almonds
250g sugar
3 egg whites
As many wafers as cookies made
60g shaved almond slices

Blend the ground almonds with the sugar. Beat the egg white until it forms peaks. Put the almond-sugar mix in the middle of the beaten egg whites. Stir from the middle to the rim until you have a not-too-wet custard. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place a little of the custard on each wafer and form it into crescents. Sprinkle a little of the shaved almond slices on each cookie. Bake for 15 minutes.
